Hajoca

History Brief

Able Distributing, as we are known by, was founded in the spring of 1960. The Able presence has been in Wisconsin since 1966, with the opening of the Wausau location. We continued to grow and in December of 1993, the Appleton location was ready for business. By January of 2003, the Waukesha location doors were opened, and business was great.

Just two short years later, in 2005, Able Distributing became part of the Hajoca Corporation family. We joined a large company, and were able to maintain who we were and our belief in quality of people, services and products. We gained being part of a diverse family with a unique blend of cultures, histories and traditions… and we’re proud of it!

Hajoca was founded in 1858 by three visionary gents named William H. HAines, Thomas J. JOnes and Joel CAdbury: did you catch it? HAJOCA for short.

Today we make up part of the nation’s largest privately held wholesale supplier of plumbing, heating and industrial supplies.

Our success continued and Hajoca was looking to expand our presence to serve Southeastern Wisconsin. Our Kenosha counter location opened in 2014. As we grew exponentially, big changes came in 2015 with the move of our main Southeastern location moving from Waukesha to West Allis. The West Allis location is also home to our newest plumbing showroom, Able KBS – Kitchen & Bath Showplace, a premier showroom. We also added another new counter location in Waukesha in 2015.
